Evolutionary genetics at UAF is strong and growing. Our lab is well equipped for evolutionary genetics, and there are close collaborations among labs at UAF. There are more than 10 labs focused on evolution and genetics.

Fairbanks is an extremely welcoming community, with many opportunities for outdoor sports. Groomed cross country ski trails start just outside the building, downhill skiing less than 30 minutes from campus, and many places for hiking, bird watching and snow machining. Denali National Park is just 2 hours from campus.
