Special for Electronic:
Which features of this course seemed more efficient than conventional, in-class
instruction?
I loved being able to ask questions at any time without needing to make an appointment.
Often times, I don't think of a question until long after I learn a module.
In this class, I can ask it and I am ecouraged to ask questions rather than
just sit and listen and take notes. It was one of the most interative classes
I have ever taken intellectually. Also, having the material or teacher's lecture
written down was very useful. This enabled me to focus on learning the material
rather than frantically taking notes just to get concepts down.

Class time. Can choose any time within a week. Convinient.
being able to work on assignments around a professional schedule instead of
a formal in-class time.
I found the web based course with the internet research and links really good.
The ability to set my study schedule on my time rather than based on classroom
time.
The Quizes and the Modules.
There were a lot of examples and a good use ofwebsites.
This course required the same amount of effort as traditional in-class instruction.
What I like about this electronic course is the fact that I can continue my
education yet completely work around my hectic schedule

environment. more relaxed etmosphere. no time limits.
It was nice to do the work at any convient time.

I work full-time and travel extensively for my job. The only way I can take
classes is electronically. It worked very well for me. I wish I had more time
to devote to studying the class material. However, I can always do that because
it stays posted on the web page. I also enjoyed the electronic discussions with
my classmates. I had to put more thought into what I said before I wrote it
down, contrary to speaking in a classroom.
Class room work is done on our own time.

It took me longer to actually read the lessons and learn the materia. As an
auditory learner, it is easier for me to listen to a lecture and gain knowledge;
however, I wasn't forced to learn material in an hour either.
No Response
Absence of visual and audio contact with the instructor.
amount of time I would spend on assignments was less than if I had to go to
weekly classes.
I did not feel the discussions were very usefull.
The discussion board is an excellent tool, but sometimes classroom discussion
sparks more ideas. Real time discussion has more synergy than reading comments
after the fact.
None
A lot of time was spent in reading web material.
Nothing that I can think of.

longer time to get an answer from the instructor in case questions arise.
The professor was unable to gage the work load, and I felt it was too heavy.
It takes twice as long to read material for yourself, than it would take for
the insutructor to explain it. There were a lot of techinacal difficulties which
added to the frustration Overall the concept will work eventually, but in the
mean time some class time will alleivate some of the confusion.
No Response
Schedule cahnges were particularly hard on me because of my travel schedule.
If assignments were put off or condensed it was extremely difficult fo me to
comply. Sometimes, I have problems with remote access from hotel rooms, but
overall it works very well for me.

It is very difficult to focus on a class that takes time away from my job. My
employer paid for the course, and even encouraged me to take teh class. Yet,
I was supposed to keept the class to a minimum and not let it interfere with
my work. YEAH RIGHT! This class was not one to just let sit on the sidelines.
There was a lot of work to do.

for each home work assignmnet we had to submit a questions to the instructor
which were worth 5 points. I didn't like that part of the course at all. What
if i don't have questions, if everything is clear? Do i have to break my head
over questions, which don't interest me?

The paper I wrote for this class was directly from material I work with every
day in my job. It will be extremely valuable for me.

Dr. Perkins was very responsive to questions and comments. I particularly liked
being able to submit comments, criticisms, etc. on each classroom Module.
Instrutor knowledge. The feed back and resources that were offered were very
useful.

There seemed to be a lot of time put into the class that I hadn't expected.
Plus, with the paper, I was really stretched for time to complete my work for
the job and work for the class. It might be better to have fewer modules than
the syllabus lists.

none, I thought it was good for my first web based class
I did not like, nor find very valuable, the discussion boards. I think it would
have been more valuable to have 1 or 2 class meetings during the semester to
have discussions.
I am not sure that changes could improve the course. The problems that I personally
had were more on my side that on how the course was set up.
If the students could interact within themselves then it would be very nice.
That means more interaction between students.

There was a lot of material to print for ach Module which was difficult and
