Title: US Coast Guard Icebreaker Healy

When: 2 August 2005

Who: Bernard Coakley (Geophysical Institute, UAF)

Bernie and Garret King (Arctic Research Commission) gave a wonderful talk encompasing the history of icebreakers in Alaskan research.

Bernie showed some examples of the work that they were doing as well as some of the successes of the privious voyage up from Canada.

A very luck few were allowed a tour on the CG Healy to observe first hand the scope of work that these researchers have undertaken!
